“You Have a Cancer What?...”

This is the response one of my cancer survivorship clients recently got from her friend.  She was wondering how my client had transformed her lack of energy and overall approach to handling her circumstances.  

“I hired a cancer survivorship coach,” my client explained,  “I was really struggling with fears, feeling stuck and had no energy to do the things I know are a priority for me given everything I’ve gone through.  I figured I’d hired a medical team who gave me a new lease on life so why not hire an expert to help me learn to really make the most of this incredible gift.”

I wasn’t particularly surprised by the reaction.  I receive similar responses when asked what I do for a living.  After all, who would choose to become a cancer survivorship coach?
